I have become acquainted with the work of Dr. Richard Boylan for the first time in May 2004 when I read an interview with him by Italian UFO researcher Paola Leopizzi Harris in her book Connecting the Dots: Making Sense of the UFO Phenomenon. I could only admire his courage in the face of continuous physical attacks against him by the shadow government, or the Cabal as he calls it, which Paola did a good job of documenting (she even witnessed some personally).

I was particularly delighted to read about Dr. Boylan's work with Star Kids, as he calls them, also commonly known as Indigo children, in his Star Kids Project. These wonderful new children are the humanity's best current hope for a brighter future, and we must love and cherish these children, shield and protect them from the society that's busy stomping them down, and prepare them for their mission to transform Earth from a prison planet into a newly reborn planet of love.

Delighted about Dr. Boylan's work with Star Kids, and having read about his other work related to Star Visitor contacts, such as his hypnotherapy work, I counted him on my list of serious, dedicated and well-intentioned ufologists, and placed a link to his website along with some words of praise on my own web page.

I was recently dismayed to learn, however, that for some reasons which escape my understanding, Dr. Boylan has unfortunately chosen to take a very negative stand toward the newly emerging branch of ufology known as exopolitics. Those not already familiar with this discipline can read about it on the websites of Alfred Webre and Michael E. Salla, as well as my own exopolitics page.

When I joined Dr. Boylan's UFOFacts Yahoo group, I saw a post by someone asking why do some ETs work together with our society's power elite, who are arguably the worst gang of criminals to ever walk this planet. This is probably one of the most profound questions in all of ufology, and it's being asked over and over without any real answers. I personally have been pondering this question ever since I was challenged with it in 1999 (while discussing ufology with some folks at Revolution Books in Cleveland, Ohio). I replied to that post with a few general thoughts on exopolitics, which is clearly the discipline that the question at hand falls under.

Dr. Boylan, who moderates the group, did not allow my post to go through and to my great surprise, sent me a very hostile reply charging me with disinformation and discriminatory generalizations about (fictitious) bad-guy exo-political [sic] parties. This was despite the fact that I specifically emphasized in my post that we cannot make any generalizations about all ETs or large groupings of them such as whole races, and instead each individual or group, regardless of planet of origin, ought to be fairly judged by their actual policies and actions. A quote from my post: just as our leaders and political parties ought to be judged by their politics and held responsible for their policies, the same should hold for exopolitical parties.

Dr. Boylan's reply left me uncertain of whether his hostility was directed specifically at me and my personal exopolitics research, or toward the entire discipline of exopolitics and all of its researchers. However, the conspicous absence of any mention of exopolitics on his website or in discussions taking place on his UFOFacts Yahoo group under his moderation, as well as the fact that he misspelled the word exopolitical in his reply to me made me suspect that Dr. Boylan is probably disapproving of the entire discipline of exopolitics.

Dr. Michael Salla incident

Dr. Michael E. Salla, Ph.D. is a very prominent researcher of exopolitics. He has written a book titled Exopolitics: Political Implications of the Extraterrestrial Presence, as well as a number of articles and study papers on exopolitics. He was a speaker at the X-Conference, the 1st Annual Exopolitics Expo in Washington, DC in April 2004.

On the night of August 3/4 (depending on your timezone), 2004 Dr. Salla appeared as a guest on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory, a late night radio talk show with estimated 10 million listeners across the United States and worldwide, dedicated to discussion of various paranormal and non-mainstream topics. Among other things, the host asked Dr. Salla about the status of his affiliation with American University. Dr. Salla replied that he had been a victim of academic censorship and that his Peace Ambassador Program at American University was terminated in retaliation for the Washington Post article about President Eisenhower's meeting with ETs in 1954 in which Dr. Salla was interviewed. The complete facts of this matter are listed in a page on Dr. Salla's website.

George Noory expressed great interest in the matter and strong support for Dr. Salla. He announced the E-mail address for Prof. Benjamin Ladner, the President of American University, provided by Dr. Salla, on the air to his listening audience and encouraged his listeners to send him E-mails in support of Dr. Salla. I promptly did so, as did thousands of other Coast to Coast listeners. I sent my E-mail in support of Dr. Salla to Mr. Ladner and copied it to George Noory, to Stephen Bassett of Paradigm Research Group, and to Dr. Richard Boylan.

The next morning, however, I was shocked to see Dr. Boylan post on his Yahoo groups his open letter to Mr. Ladner in which he took the diametrically opposite position of blackmailing Dr. Salla and supporting his termination.

I hold that Dr. Boylan's attack on Dr. Salla is completely unjustified. Dr. Salla has done very good scholarly research of exopolitics, a vitally important discipline, and Dr. Boylan's attacks on Dr. Salla and the entire discipline of exopolitics seriously undermine his own credibility, rather than Dr. Salla's or anyone else's.

I suspect that Dr. Boylan's highly negative attitude toward the discipline of exopolitics has something to do with the fact that, as both I and Dr. Salla have found, while there are many good exopolitical parties out there, whose exopolitical agendas are very much in line with the best interests of humanity, there also unfortunately exist some exopolitical parties whose exopolitical agendas do not particularly correspond with the best interests of humanity, and it is the latter "rogues" or "bad guys" who are apparently engaged in some deals with the illegitimate "Cabal" elements of our own governments. I believe that any honest and objective exopolitics researcher is bound to come to this conclusion, since that is where the facts point.

It seems that Dr. Boylan believes that all beings from other planets and stars (Star Visitors as he calls them) are exclusively benevolent and that there does not exist one single rogue ET. I find this view untenable. In any society whose individuals have free will, no matter how good the society is, there will always be some who choose to be crooks. The only way all beings from all planets in the Universe with the single exception of Earth could be uniformly good (which is what the overly-optimistic ufologists like Dr. Boylan seem to believe) is if they had no free will. That would imply that we on Earth are alone and unique in the entire Universe to have free will, and that predicate is no different from us being the only intelligent life in the Universe, which is the predicate that all ufologists are supposedly out to disprove in the first place.

In conclusion, regarding Dr. Boylan, by his unjustified attacks on Dr. Salla and other exopolitics researchers he has significantly tarnished his reputation, and I would not refer anyone to him for dependable information regarding the UFO/ET phenomenon unless and until he publicly retracts and apologizes for those attacks.

Despite this, I continue to commend Dr. Boylan on his work with Star Kids, strictly because of the immense value of these wonderful children to humanity, but given his now tarnished reputation, I will look for other resources and will soon add a page to my website listing various other resources for Star Kids, Indigo children and other enlightened children and adults.

Unfortunately this kind of infighting, bickering and back-biting is all too common in the field of ufology. The only ones who benefit from it are the truth suppressors in the shadow government, and there is some evidence that shadow government operatives are actively involved in seeding squabbles between ufologists. If we all work together to expose our common enemy, the Cabal that suppresses the truth about our origins and our true place in the Universe, we can be a formidable force. The enemy knows our great strength and they fear us, and that is why they spend so much effort to seed squabbles among us, to divide us and to pit us against each other. It dismays me that some veteran ufologists and others who ought to know better still fall for those provocations. Let us not fall for the provocations of the shadow government, and let us fight our common enemy together. Together we can win!
